Mutares: Donges Group breaks EUR 230 million turnover mark with third add-on acquisition

Munich/Darmstadt, March 7, 2019 – The Donges Group, a platform investment of Mutares AG (ISIN: DE000A2NB650) specializing in steel construction and high-quality roof and façade solutions, is expanding in the flat roof systems sector. The Mutares investment has signed a purchase agreement for the acquisition of FDT FlachdachTechnologie GmbH & Co. KG, based in Mannheim. The transaction marks the third strategic acquisition for the Darmstadt-based Donges Group and is expected to close until the end of March. This is already Mutares’ second acquisition in the current fiscal year.

FDT is a company with a long tradition, almost 150 years of history and locations in Mannheim and Hemsbach. With the well-known products “Rhepanol” and “Rhenofol”, the company is an established supplier in the German market for flat roof systems and excellently complements the product portfolio of the Donges Group. The company will be sold as part of a succession plan. The previous managing partner, Joachim Gussner, will be on hand to advise the company on any future requirements. FDT generated sales of around EUR 54 million in the past financial year and employs over 200 people.
