mutares appoints Mark Friedrich to the executive board

The Supervisory Board of mutares AG (ISIN: DE000A0SMSH2) appoints Mark Friedrich as a member of the Executive Board, effective as of April 1, 2015. Mr. Friedrich will take responsibility for finance and administration.

Mark Friedrich has worked for mutares as the Head of Finance since 2012. Prior to his work at mutares, Mark Friedrich followed a career as auditor at Ernst & Young (EY) which he left as a Manager after seven years. After completing his certification as auditor and tax consultant, Mr. Friedrich specialized at EY in auditing and consulting private equity companies and investment funds.

Prof. Dr. Bloching, chairman of the supervisory board, commented: “The board is pleased to appoint Mr. Friedrich as a new member of the Executive Board. He has done an exceptional job in the past three years and enjoys great trust from our Supervisory Board.”

The Executive Board of mutares AG now consists of five members: The founders and Co-CEOs Dr. Axel Geuer and Robin Laik manage the M&A business. Dr. Wolf Cornelius and Dr. Kristian Schleede supervise the operations and the restructuring of the portfolio companies. Mark Friedrich, as CFO, is responsible for finance and administration.
