Located in Comines, France, near the Belgian border, the site boasts nearly a century of industrial heritage and technical expertise embodied by its 115 employees, allowing it to provide the highest purity and quality of blue, violet and pink pigment powders for specialty applications.
The business benefits from a strong market position, ranking second globally in technical grade ultramarine pigments and maintains long-standing relationships with blue-chip customers and distributors across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
Strategy
The acquisition remains conditional to the authorization of the Commercial Court of Lille and is expected to close in Q1 2026.
Once the acquisition is realized and the carve-out is completed from the Venator Group, Mutares intends to reinforce the company’s positioning on its market by improving the reliability of its industrial tool through targeted investments, developing further capacities to propose higher grades of technical pigments and reduce the company’s environmental footprint.
