Jadeed – The ETP Business is a leading global provider of engineered thermoplastics with a broad international production and sales platform. With a resin production capacity of approximately 1,085 KT and a compounding capacity of around 780 KT, the company operates eight production facilities across the Americas and Europe, employs approximately 2,900 employees and generated approximately USD 2.5 billion in adjusted revenues in 2025. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026.
The portfolio comprises engineered thermoplastics such as Polycarbonate (PC), Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) and Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) in both resin and compounding lines, marketed under strong, globally recognized brands such as LEXAN™, CYCOLOY™, VALOX™ and CYCLOLAC™.
The Business holds a leading market position and is the world’s second-largest producer of PC, the leading ABS producer in the United States and the sole producer of PBT in the United States. This strong competitive positioning is supported by a diversified and resilient customer base across key end-markets, including Automotive, Building & Construction, Consumer Products, Electrical & Electronics and Healthcare, complemented by additional exposure to water containers and other industrial applications. Geographically, the business is well balanced with 66% of revenues generated in the Americas and 34% in Europe.
Strategy:
Within the Mutares Group, the Business forms a cornerstone of the newly established Chemicals & Materials segment. The acquisition represents a transformational step, enabling Mutares to leverage the businesses upstream-integrated platform, broad technical and application know-how, as well as its strong innovation pipeline. Based on the Mutares value creation approach, the focus will be on enhancing operational excellence, optimizing the footprint and cost base, and driving profitable growth through product and customer mix optimization, further strengthening the company’s position as a key partner for engineering thermoplastics solutions worldwide.
