The Exhaust and Diverter Solutions unit, based in Recklinghausen, Germany, caters to the entire range of gas turbine applications, from industrial aero-derivative to large frame heavy-duty machines. The NEM – Balcke-Dürr Heat Exchanger Solutions unit, based in Düsseldorf with over 130 years of experience, offers a diverse range of heat exchangers, including condensers and feedwater heaters. Lastly, the Aftermarket Services department ensures the global servicing of installations, providing spare parts, replacements, complete revamps, and lifetime extensions. The company is among the top three suppliers globally in terms of total number of units installed and a leading innovator in the field of energy.
Strategy
The strategy will be aimed at offering solutions and services around three main market drivers; flexibility, CO2 reduction and emission reduction.
Within these market segments, NEM Energy Group is aiming to become a leader in large HRSG’s and Bypass Systems by building on strong partnerships with key clients around the world. Besides existing markets, NEM Energy Group will enter new markets with existing and new products, to address current market challenges.
The company will significantly increase the service business by further developing the service (i.e., maintenance and inspection) of the global boiler fleet (i) organically by leveraging the close collaboration between NEM and Balcke-Dürr and (ii) inorganically through targeted bolt-on acquisitions.
Ultimately, NEM will exploit the synergies of Balcke-Dürr heat exchanger business after the successful exit of the portfolio company STF Balcke-Dürr S.r.l through a gradual consolidation.
