The aim of the project is to involve employees in the introduction of new technologies in the value chain.<\/p>\n<p>In the project supported by the Universities of Trier, Bremen and Duisburg-Essen, different strategies are developed in cooperation with experts from psychology, computer science and logistics to successfully counter digitization and artificial intelligence. Together with employees, works councils and executives, the project accompanies the handling of the changed demands on the employees in order to develop new competence profiles. In particular, abstraction and problem-solving skills are required to cope with complexity as well as the handling of automated applications and artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Digitalization and artificial intelligence mean not only new intelligent solutions for previously unresolved inefficiencies in a wide variety of processes, but also the need for a strategy for dealing with these very solutions. Particularly in companies with a long industrial history such as ours, it is important to ensure that all employees are able to cope with these changing requirements. We hope that by participating in the DIAMANT project, our employees will be able to use the opportunities of digital transformation even more efficiently in the future,&#8221; says a spokesman for the Balcke-D\u00fcrr Group.<\/p>\n<p>Other participants in the project are the REWE retail chain and the family business BOGE.
