Based on successful turn-around activities and on the expansion of its portfolio, the mutares group has achieved a significant growth in revenues and earnings in the fiscal year 2010-11. During the period from April 1, 2010, to March 31, 2011, the turnover has doubled to \u20ac 127.6 million (previous year \u20ac 60.7 million) with a substantial increase of 95% in the operating profit (EBITDA) to \u20ac 15.8 million (previous year \u20ac 8.1 million). At the end of the fiscal year 2010-2011 on March 31, 2011, mutares held a total of five portfolio companies in Europe with around 1,500 employees.<\/p>\n

mutares acquires companies in special situations and develops them with operational and financial support. Due to strong operational improvements in the portfolio companies and due to the economic growth in Europe since early 2010 last year\u2019s results have significantly improved. Group sales and net income have been increased for the third consecutive year.<\/p>\n

Despite a portfolio streamlining group sales went up by 110% from \u20ac 66.9 million to \u20ac 127.6 million. The first time consolidation of the HIB-group and the newly acquired Alsace Meubles contributed primarily to this strong increase in sales.
\nThe annual income went up to \u20ac 8.3 million, which is \u20ac 4.3 million or 108% more than in the previous year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe increase in operating cash flow to \u20ac 3.2 million (previous year: \u20ac -1.4 million) shows our strong operational expertise,\u201d said Axel Geuer, co-founder of mutares.
